Each semester students are given the opportunity to join Alpha Chi Sigma. The pledging process is an important time in the life of every brother. During this time, the pledge has the opportunity to get to know the local brothers as well as learn the history of the fraternity, the history of the local chapter, and what it means to be a brother.

The primary goals of the pledging process are:

​

• To instill a sense of brotherhood within the pledge and to strengthen the bond between fellow pledges as well as between chapter members and pledges.

• To learn the history and ideals of Alpha Chi Sigma, on both a national and a local basis.
